THE NEXT in a series of talks by various experts on the damaging effects of climate change will take place in October.
'Help Our Planet', a series of monthly lectures from environmental specialists, began at the Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis in June.
The next talk will take place on Tuesday, October 12 and will be given by farmer and nature conservationist, Derek Gow, on his new book, 'Bringing Back the Beaver'.
Mr Gow has managed a European wildlife park in the centre of Scotland, developed two nature centres in England played a leading role in the reintroduction of the Eurasian Beaver and the White Stork to Great Britain.
He is currently working on a reintroduction project for the wildcat and a project to save the water vole from threatened extinction. Bringing Back the Beaver has become a best-seller described in reviews as a beautiful, profound, important and consoling
After his talk Derek join in a discussion with a small panel of experts.
The evening will end with questions from the audience.
