A MUSIC shop in the town centre will now be open for music and drinks four nights a week.
Bridport Music Centre has obtained a licence to serve alcohol and host live music shows.
The 'Stage Door', as it has been named, officially opened last weekend with a performance from local artist Eve Appleton.
The venue is situated in the South Street music store, transforming into a late afternoon, early evening bar once the shop closes.
Going forward the Stage Door will be open from 5pm to 9pm on Thursdays through to Saturdays, and as well as Sundays from 12pm until 4pm.
As well as serving up beers and wines, it will host musical performances every Friday, and either live performances or DJ sets on Sundays.
The store's owner, Jane Wain, said: "We're very excited to be able to do this. We always wanted to do this sort of thing, as we're such music lovers.
"We're going to try to make Friday our big music night and then stay open for an after work drink on the other days.
"We'll be doing either a chilled performance or a DJ set on the Sundays also, and maybe some special events going forward."
The likes of Molly Waters, Hansel and Gretel, Brian Stone and Jamie Parker will be performing at the town centre venue in coming weeks.
Any local musicians who would like the opportunity to perform at the Stage Door are encouraged to get in touch at jane@bridportmusiccentre.co.uk.
