DORSET has been named among the UK's best places for dog owners to take their pet on a staycation.
To celebrate international dogs day, experts at outdoor consumer brand Millets have chosen their top 10 favourite staycations for a pooch-friendly break.
Dorset has been shortlisted as number eight on the list of winners thanks to the county's coastal walking routes and beaches, making it ideal for dog owners.
A Millets spokesman said: "Boasting beautiful scenery and a beloved shoreline, it is easy to see why Dorset is a holiday favourite. It is the perfect place to go swimming and hiking with your pet.
"Dorset offers the Jurassic coast to everybody, along with its rugged cliffs, popular sands and quirky fossil spotters - you never know what you will find."
