ALMOST £4,000 was raised for a local lifesaving team at a barbecue last week.
The Bridport RNLI hosted a barbecue on Seatown Beach, by the Anchor Inn, on Wednesday, August 11 to raise money for the RNLI team.
The Lyme Regis Lifeboat team attended and showed off their skills to the crowds on the beach.
Despite the cooler temperature on the day, organisers say those who attended very much enjoyed themselves.
The stalls set up on the day - including skittles, a cake stall, a tombola and a wine raffle - were all successful and the team were able to raise £3,938, with 100 per cent of the profits going towards the teams' efforts to save lives at sea.
