PHOTOS show firefighters from across Dorset tackle a blaze within a large grain silo on a farm.
Firefighters from Bridport, Beaminster and Lyme Regis responded to reports of a fire within a grain silo at a farm near Bridport at around 10.20am on Monday morning (August 23).
Upon arrival, crews saw that the fire was confined within the tall cylinder and began to work together to tackle the fire.
Photos from the scene show the silo appeared to be on the back of a tractor, with smoke billowing out from the tall cylinder.
The silo also appears to have suffered fire damage as firefighters aimed to stop the blaze from spreading.
Grain was shovelled from the tall cylinder by the farm's workers in a bid to prevent grain from being damaged and limit the fire spread.
The fire was extinguished and firefighters left the scene soon after.
