YOUNG people are being invited to help a local artist create a piece of art to highlight the problems of marine plastic pollution.
West Bay Discovery Centre is inviting young people down to the Fisherman's Green at the Salthouse in West Bay on Thursday, August 12 and Friday, August 13 to help local artist Darrell Wakelam create a piece of hanging wall art.
Those who take part will help create a selection of sea and shore creatures, which will be incorporated into a piece of hanging wall art that will help highlight the problems of marine plastic pollution.
The activity is being run by the discovery centre as part its 'Turning the Tide' season of displays and activities, which highlight the problems of plastic pollution of our seas and beaches.
Participants are welcome to drop in to take part between the hours of 11am until 1pm and 2pm and 3.30pm on both days, on the green by the Salthouse at West Bay - or inside if wet.
The piece of artwork will then be put on display at the discovery centre.
