A SEARCH was launched yesterday after windsurfing equipment was found ashore.
The Lyme Regis RNLI lifeboat was launched yesterday evening after receiving reports of windsurfing equipment found ashore, just east of West Bay Harbour.
This was the fourth alert this week for the Lyme Regis lifeboat crew and the 21st this year.
The lifeboat volunteers launched at 6.03pm yesterday. The crew were stood down just 19 minutes later when the West Bay Coastguard team reported the owner of the equipment was safe and on land.
