A BOOK featuring the work of a number of artists' depictions of West Bay has been published.
The book, titled 'West Bay: A Visual Journey from Bridport Harbour to West Bay' looks at 22 artists who have been 'drawn' to West Bay over the years.
West Bay, compiled and written by Bridport woman Marion Taylor, features several of these works alongside historical information, amusing anecdotes and words from some of the more contemporary artists.
It follows the timeline of West Bay, spanning more than 200 years, beginning with the works of William Daniell and JMW Turner and finishing with more recent artists such as Alex Lowery and David Inshaw. The book takes the reader back to before West Bay even had its named, known as Bridport Harbour until the arrival of the railway in the 1880s when the name West Bay was deemed more appropriate.
The book is currently for sale as a hardback for £18.
