RESIDENTS of a west Dorset village enjoyed an annual plant show and sale.
Thorncombe Gardening Club held its annual Show and Plant Sale in the Thorncombe Village Hall on Saturday, July 3.
A selection of plants had been donated to be sold in aid of club funds, and several new club members were signed up.
Awards were given out in a variety of categories including best vegetable plate, the Muriel Harvey Salver Award for sweet peas and best flower arrangement.
A spokesman for the event said: "The event was well-attended, and the hall looked and smelt wonderful with all the exhibits laid out on long tables.
"It was great to see everyone enjoying themselves after so long in lockdown, and refreshments were taken in the Committee Room, where a delicious selection of home-made cakes were enjoyed."
