FIREFIGHTERS gained entry into a home after ambulance crew was unable to access it.
A crew from Bridport Fire Station was called at 3.09am today (Wednesday, July 14) to an address in the area.
An ambulance crew was outside to respond to a call about a bed bound resident who required medical treatment.
As they were unable to access the property's keys from a safe, firefighters used tools to unlock the door and allow the ambulance crew to enter.
A spokesman said: "One appliance was mobilised to gain entry to a property to allow the ambulance service to treat a bed bound patient.
"There was a key safe however no code was available to fire or ambulance services. Specialist tools were used to gain entry via a door.
"If you have a relative or friend who requires care it maybe worth installing a key safe and informing the relevant services of its location and code to gain access to the key."
