DORSET charity, Sexual Trauma and Recovery Services (STARS Dorset), is running a competition asking people to create designs around the theme of 'consent'.

From all the entries three designs will be chosen which will then be used to print on t-shirts and other merchandise which the charity will go on to sell. Anyone who is 16 years or older can enter. Ultimately the charity wants designs that will appeal to a wide audience, promote discussion around ‘consent’ and will help raise vital funds for the work they do.

STARS Dorset supports anyone of any age or gender who lives, works or studies in Dorset and has been affected by any form of sexual trauma at anytime in their life. Alongside providing emotional and practical support it also works with schools providing training and helping raise awareness around consent.

Helen Stevens, CEO of STARS Dorset said: “Over the last year we have seen a huge rise in the number of people across Dorset wanting our support and the ‘Everyone’s Invited’ website has highlighted the alarming incidence of sexual trauma happening today. We hope that this competition will help promote discussion around consent, help raise awareness of the support we offer and funds for the work we do. Good luck to all those that take part and we’re looking forward to seeing all the designs.”

All designs should be emailed to design@starsdorset.org by August 1, 2021. The number of entries per person is not limited. Full details of the competition, the design requirements and how to enter can be found here: https://www.starsdorset.org/news/consent-design-competition
