A PARTY is taking place in a west Dorset village this month, complete with music, games and a picnic.
The Party in the Park is being held at the Burton Bradstock sports field on Saturday, July 24.
The event is free to everyone who lives in the village and to children who attend Burton Bradstock CE Primary School and their parents.
It has been planned to give the residents of Burton Bradstock an opportunity to get out and do 'something relatively normal' following the planned easing of the coronavirus restrictions.
Starting from 1.30pm on the day, there will be a variety of games - including splat the rat, a pic racing game and a wheel of fortune game.
Organisers are encouraging those who attend to bring their own picnics. There will be a teddy bear picnic on the day, with everyone invited to bring their own teddies along to celebrate the occasion. The smartest teddy and the best picnic lay out will each win a prize.
There will also be entertainment on hand with children's entertainer Strawberry Jam making an appearance, and there will be live music from 5pm until 9pm.
