AN EMERGENCY response was launched just before 12am last night after reports of a missing person on a beach.
Lyme Regis Coastguard, Dorset Police and an ambulance crew teamed up after reports of a missing person in the Monmouth Beach area of Lyme.
The coastguard crew were called at 11.46pm last night to help police with the search for the missing person.
A spokesman from Lyme Regis Coastguard said: "We were tasked to assist police with a search for a missing person in the Monmouth Beach area.
"Upon arrival a search plan was formulated with a search commenced in the local area.
"Whilst carrying out the search the team found the missing person. The casualty care was given while waiting for the ambulance.
"Once the ambulance was on scene the casualty was handed over for further assessment.
"We wish the casualty a speedy recovery."
