WORK is underway to create a brand new edible garden at a Bridport school.
The first stage of Bridport Primary School's edible garden project has been completed.
Town surveyor, Daryl Chambers, and a team from Forest and Tree Care have cleared out the garden site at the school, creating space for the new garden.
The team took down a number of trees, including a large ash tree, making a huge difference to the amount of space in the area.
The area behind the garden shed was also cleared. The school are looking for volunteers to help clean debris from the area, running three 'Cake and Rake' events to help clear up old wood, chicken wire and other rubbish lying about that needs clearing. The clear ups will take place on Wednesday, July 7 and Wednesday, July 14.
The team behind the project are keen to meet with friends, staff and adult members of families to develop an idea of what this new garden will become.
