POLICE have launched a public appeal in the search for a missing man from Bridport as concerns are raised for his welfare.
Andrew Herring, who is 51 years old, was reported missing at 5.31pm on Wednesday June 9 after last having been seen walking along North Allington Road toward the town.
He is described as white, of medium build and with short dark hair. He is wearing a dark blue/grey T-shirt and black trousers and is carrying a black rucksack.Chief Inspector Jamie Clark, of Dorset Police, said: “We believe Andrew was very upset when he was last seen and we are very concerned that he may come to some harm.
“Officers are searching the area as we need to find him urgently.
“I am hoping somebody may have seen Andrew this evening and can help us to establish where he may have gone.”
