MEMBERS of a Lyme Regis based community group are looking for new members as they celebrate a special occasion.
Lyme Regis U3A (University of the Third Age) celebrated National U3A Day on Wednesday, June 2 and is now looking to encourage more people to join their society.
The aim of U3A is to provide stimulation through learning for people who are retired or no longer in full time employment. There are around 1,000 groups and 450,000 members throughout the country.
Lyme Regis U3A has close to 600 member from the town and surrounding areas.
Under normal circumstances, monthly meetings are held at Woodmead Hall, with talks on a wide range of topics. However, during lockdown these have been held online.
