LYME Regis co-manager Julien Simier believes Lapford are genuine favourites for the Devon & Exeter Premier Division final at Topsham on Saturday (3pm).
Simier and fellow joint-boss Mark Bailey guided the Seasiders to the Premier East crown and now face a free-scoring Lapford side in the season finale.
Lapford won 10 of 12 games and recorded a goal difference of plus 40, leading Simier to believe all the pressure lies on the mid-Devon side.
Simier told the Bridport News: “It’s always good to finish on a positive.
“We’re looking forward to the game and I don’t believe we’re going to be the favourite.

“They’re going to be a very, very tough team. We’ll just enjoy it and keep the same philosophy from the beginning.
“I do believe we are the underdog. When you look at the goal difference they’ve been high-scoring all season.
“I don’t know what the league is like on the other side. On paper they’re the favourite but it’s one game, 50/50.
“Whoever wants it the most is going to win it and it’s no more than that.
“Fingers crossed it will be a nice footballing game for us, because I’ve heard the pitch is not great.
“A more bobbly pitch is not the best for us, it’s going to suit them more.”
Lyme Regis have a fully-fit squad for the final.
