WITH the steady stream of recent correspondence and the airing by The Bridport and Lyme Regis News, do I detect a glimmer of light and hope at the end of the tunnel?
With the support of the Bridport Town Council, the Rotary Club and town residents showing concern over the maintenance, upkeep and appearance in the two central town roundabouts, it is the responsibility of Highways England and its maintenance contractors, South West Highways to grasp the nettle and take its responsibilities seriously.
We are just about to come out of a lockdown causing pain, hardship and much suffering to many.
What better, therefore, than to bring some joy and pleasure on the faces of the town’s residents and passing visitors with a splash of colour to these roundabouts.
