A HOSPITAL charity is launching a new fundraising campaign to help enhance patient care and staff welfare.
Dorset County Hospital Charity has launched the Power of Giving campaign which will support specialist care areas across the hospital, funding new equipment and projects that enhance patient experience, including dementia-friendly facilities and special resources for children's wards, stroke patients and breast cancer care.. The funds raised will also go towards the hospital's 'Greatest Need' and 'Staff Welfare' funds.
Simon Pearson, head of charity at DCH, said: "Through the power of giving, you can make a real different to DCH and its dedicated NHS staff, helping to make patient care even better.
"By donating to the care area of your choice, supporting staff welfare, or giving to our Greatest Need fund - providing support wherever the need is greatest - your support will benefit our patients, their families and our staff at DCH."
DCH Charity exists to enhance care for patients at the hospital. Money donated to the charity is invested in new facilities, medical equipment and training to diagnose and treat patients.
The Cancer Appeal run by the charity between 2016 and 2018 raised more than £1.75m and funded the construction of a cancer and haematology outpatient department.
