A DISABILITIES charity has received a £5,000 grant to help fund its school holiday play sessions.
Diverse Abilities has received a £5,000 donation from the Maria Björnson Memorial Fund which was set up in memory of the theatre, ballet and opera designer and supports arts-related activities.
The charity, which supports children and adults with profound physical and learning disabilities across Dorset, will use the money to fund its Coping with CHAOS family play service which gives parents a chance to meet others in a similar situation.
Clare Rochford, service manager at the charity, said: "We are so thrilled to receive this donation from the Maria Björnson Memorial Fund, it will truly make a huge different in our day-to-day provision of activities.
"This year more than ever our families need respite over the holidays so it's crucial that we continue to raise the funds needed to be able to provide this valuable support."
