MORE rain showers are on their way to Dorset this week after the county was hit by wet weather over the weekend.
Dorset has experienced wet and windy weather over recent days, with further heavy rain showers during Sunday evening and overnight.
The prolonged wet period has left many wondering when the weather will improve – especially with coronavirus restrictions on outdoor mixing easing.
According to the Met Office, Monday (May 24) will see further rain showers throughout the morning and across the evening.
A weather forecast from the weather forecaster reads: “Through the morning scattered showers spread across the region, locally heavy and thundery, with sunny spells between.
“Showers continue during the afternoon and into evening with a breezy wind. Maximum temperature 14 °C.”
More rain showers are forecast on Tuesday (May 25) but these will be infrequent. Sunshine will soon follow the rainy spells, with sunny but cloudy weather forecast for the rest of the week.
A forecast for Tuesday to Thursday reads: ”Sunny spells and scattered showers on Tuesday, with cloud and perhaps rain over the far southwest.
“Lengthy sunny spells on Wednesday and Thursday with the chance of a few showers.”
