UNDER 10 new positive cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Dorset, according to the latest figures.
Data from Public Health England show nine cases have been reported across the Dorset Council and the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council areas in the last 24 hours.
Two people in the Dorset Council area have tested positive for coronavirus. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of people who have tested positive within this area for Covid-19 stands at 11,934.
The rolling seven-day period for the Dorset Council area is 16 cases, with a case rate of 4.2 per 100,000 people.
The recorded coronavirus cases in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council area have increased by seven. Public Health England figures show that 25,448 people within the BCP area have tested positive for Covid-19.
The rolling seven-day period for the BCP Council area is 36 cases, with a case rate of 9.1 per 100,000 people.
Across Dorset, 37,382 people have tested positive for coronavirus over the course of the pandemic.
One person tested positive for coronavirus in the New Forest area, which brings the total number to 6,219. The case rate stands at 10 per 100,000 people.
