THERE has been a total of nine new cases of Covid-19 recorded across Dorset in the latest 24-hour period, Government figures show.
Latest Government figure show only two new cases were recorded in the Dorset Council area within the latest 24-hour period up to Wednesday, May 11.
Since March 2020, there has been 11,942 cases of Covid-19 confirmed across the Dorset Council area.
The rolling seven-day period for the Dorset Council area is 28 cases, with a case rate is 7.4 per rate of 100,000 population.
There were six new cases recorded across the BCP Council area during the same period - bringing the total number since the start of the pandemic in the BCP area to 25,423.
The rolling seven-day period for the BCP is 43 cases, with a case rate is 10.9.
In the New Forest there was just one new case recorded within the last 24-hour period.
The total in the New Forest district since the pandemic started is 6,218.
The rolling seven-day period for the New Forest is 18 cases, with a case rate is 10.
