AN APPEAL to save a community hub in Bridport has less than 25 per cent to go to hit its £10,000 target.
The Crowdfunder campaign to raise funds for St Mary's Church House Hall following a difficult financial year due to the pandemic, has now raised more than £7,500.
The appeal took a significant step forward on Tuesday, April 27 when it reached 25 per cent of its target. This resulted in an immediate extra funding pledge by charitable trust, Power to Change.
The organisation added an additional £5,000 to the campaign, raising the total to around £7,600.
This funding comes with conditions, most notably more than 50 individual supporters must have pledged - currently 55 - and the the appeal must meet its £10,000 target by Monday, May 10.
