AN initiative has been launched across Dorset to help people living with diabetes get more active.
Diabetes UK is working with Sport England to encourage people with diabetes move more to help manage their condition.
A dedicated physical activity helpline will be available with advice about moving more in day to day life, and weekly physical activity classes are being held online.
Phaedra Perry, of Diabetes UK South West said: “We hope people in Dorset take up this opportunity to learn more about the benefits of moving more and start making small changes to how much activity they do.
“Many of us have felt anxious, worried and unable to keep active during the coronavirus pandemic. It really has never been more important to introduce activity for both a healthy body and a healthy mind.”
