LIBRARIES in west Dorset have reopened their doors - and residents are being advised on what to expect.
In line with Government guidance, libraries in Bridport Beaminster and Lyme Regis as well as community facilities in Burton Bradstock and Charmouth have reopened for browsing, computer use and printing.
An order and collect service is available - however library services will look and feel quite different.
For opening times visit https://www.dorsetcouncil.gov.uk/libraries-history-culture/libraries/find-your-local-library/dorset-libraries.aspx
Social distancing measures are in place with limits on the number of people allowed in at the same time - and customers are being asked to wear a face covering and use the hand sanitise provided. Libraries will take contact details for the NHS Track and Trace purposes only.
Meanwhile, some facilities, such as toilets, the majority of seating, and study spaces, will be unavailable.
Available services include:
- order and collect
- browsing and issuing books and other items - suggested maximum browsing time of 15 minutes
- returning books and other items
- public computer use - internet access and computers must be pre-booked
- reservation service will be available - up to 10 books at any one time
- printing and photocopying is available
