AN injured woman was rescued by coastguards after suffering a fall at West Cliff, West Bay.
Coastguards were called by the ambulance service amid reports that a 64 year-old woman had fallen and was believed to have broken her wrist.
A spokesman for West Bay coastguard said: "The ambulance service were aware of the incident and a land ambulance was responding, but requested that coastguard officers attend the casualty until their arrival.
"Officers quickly made their way to the station in West Bay to pick up their equipment and 4x4 rescue vehicle then headed the short distance to West Cliff."
Coastguards found the woman and gave medical treatment using splints and fracture straps.
She was then left in the care of the ambulance service who arrived shortly afterwards to take her to Dorset County Hospital.
"We wish the lady a full and speedy recovery," the spokesman added.
The incident happened on Saturday April 10, but the information has just been released as the team has not been posting about call-outs.
Her Majesty's Coastguard paid respects to the Queen and observed the official eight days of national mourning for HRH Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh.
