“Life does not come with a rewind button” - a remark I made to my immediate helpers, Angela and Luke, two off-duty ambulance crew, who just happened to be yards away from where I fell, badly smashing my face on the kerb, outside Morrisons supermarket in Bridport on Saturday 3 April.
My heartfelt thanks to them for taking immediate charge and for what they did, to Morrisons’ staff who were quickly on the scene with towels and blankets, and the many others who offered help and showed concern.
The ambulance crew and the NHS staff at A&E Dorchester all reacted with such immediacy and professionalism, I could not have asked for more. We are lucky to have the NHS we do. They are worth more than 1%!
