AN investigation has been launched by Dorset Council into a suspected fly-tipping and environmental crime operation.
Officers from Dorset Council Waste Services seized a Ford Transit Tipper after the car was alleged to have been used for suspected fly tipping and other environmental crimes within the area.
The car was seized yesterday afternoon in Coronation Road, Bridport.
A spokesman from Dorset Council Waste Services, said: "At 1.10pm on Wednesday (April 14), Dorset Council's Waste Enforcement Team seized a Ford Transit Tipper - including personal effects and waste and scrap metal - from Coronation Road in Bridport.
"This vehicle is subject to a live investigation and is suspected to have been involved in fly tipping and other environmental crimes within Dorset.
"It has now been seized pending investigation."
