POLICE stopped a driver behind the wheel of a silver Mercedes who was clocked travelling a whopping 124mph.
On Tuesday, the car was stopped for speeding on the A35 which has a speed limit of 70mph.
On the same day, officers also stopped the driver of a white Audi on the A3049 for speeding an average of just over 107mph in a 50mph zone.
Police were also on hand in West Bay Road due to complaints of speeding. The highest recorded was 47mph in the 30mph zone.
A spokesman from Dorset Police said: "We visited West Bay Road due to complaints of speeding.
"The highest recorded was 47 in the 30 during our time there.
"On the way back to the office we stopped a Mercedes on the A35 for doing an average of just over 124mph in a 70.
"We also stopped an Audi driver on the A3049 for doing an average of just over 107mph in a 50."
Police said both drivers reported to court.
