ELEVEN residential roads will be repaired this week as workers fix the county's routes.
Dorset Highways’ contractor Colas Ltd is carrying out the programme of works, which will seal and protect the road from water damage.
The mirco-surfacing work sees new material laid over the top of the old surface and is made up of two layers – one layer to regulate out minor dips and bumps in the road, and the second provides a robust surface course.
Dorset County say it is another cost-effective treatment for 'worn, but not structurally failing, roads'. Carrying out this form of roadworks will avoid the need for costly resurfacing or reconstruction works.
The following roads will be repaired this week:
- Shute’s Lane, Symondsbury
- Mill Lane, Symondsbury
- Duck Street, Symondsbury
- Dorchester Road, Stratton
- Frome View, Maiden Newton
- Newton Road, Maiden Newton
- Stanstead Road, Maiden Newton
- Webbers Piece, Maiden Newton
- Meadow View, Cattistock
- Beech Tree Close, Cattistock
- Church Street, Burton Bradstock
