A DRIVER speaking on the phone whilst transporting livestock was just one of many driving offences committed on Dorset roads yesterday.
Dorset Police's No Excuse team were on the A30 and the A31 yesterday, on the lookout for rogue drivers.
On the A30 they stopped a driver who was transporting livestock, along with his son, whilst talking on the phone. They also recorded a number of speeding offences.
On the A31, officers stopped a motorbike rider who had bolted their 'non-conforming' number plate to the under tray of the bike.
A spokesman for the Dorset Police No Excuse Team said: "Yesterday we were tasked to the primary routes, so we spent our time on the A30 and A31.
"The A30 resulted in a number of speeding offences - the highest was 98mph in the national speed limit - and a driver transporting his livestock, and his son whilst chatting away on his phone.
"The A31 also resulted in a variety of offences. The bike rider below decided to bolt their non-conforming vehicle registration mark to the under tray. We'd suggest they invest in a tail tidy."
