A HOSPICE charity has been given a huge fundraising boost as every pound donated to its appeal will be matched by an anonymous donor.
Weldmar Hospicecare, a specialist end of life care provider for people living in Dorset, launched the Weldmar at Home appeal last month to raise money to help the charity ensure care is available at home for terminally ill patients.
Weldmar has now announced that a charity, that wishes to remain anonymous, has pledged to match every donation to the appeal pound for pound, up to the value of £100,000.
Matt Smith, director of fundraising and marketing, said: "We are absolutely delighted and extremely grateful hat this local charity has so very generously agreed to match all donations for the Weldmar at Home appeal."
"It is thanks to the generosity of our local community and charities, such as this one, who enable us to continue our services 24 hours a day. On behalf of everyone at Weldmar Hospicecare, thank you."
