A BRIDPORT supermarket has raised £450 for a worthy cause over the last two weeks.
Morrisons on West Bay Road has been carrying out some Easter-themed fundraising. The first half of the two-week project saw a stall set up in store with a variety of Easter themed treats, raising £241. The second week saw Bridport Morrison's community champion holding an Easter raffle with more than ten different prizes available for customers to win, raising £241.
All money raised will go to CLIC Sargent, Morrisons' charity partner, which cares for children with cancer.
The local store has raised more than £1,000 for this cause so far this year.
Keira Tait, community champion at Bridport Morrisons, said: "I would like to thank all of our customers for their ongoing support with our fundraising.
’Even a small amount of money given will support a child with cancer and their family with the hidden costs of illness. Look out for my next event in May themed on The Wizard of Oz. I am hoping to set up an eye catching display. If anyone would like to get involved with fundraising please find my Facebook page Morrison’s Bridport Community Champion."
