Police have confirmed a man found injured on the beach at West Bay fell from the nearby cliffs.
Firefighters, police officers, ambulance crews, coastguards and the air ambulance responded to the incident. The man was airlifted to hospital in Southampton.

Dorset Police have now issued a statement.
A spokesman said: "Dorset Police was called at around 9.15am on Saturday to a report raising concern for the welfare of a man in West Bay near Bridport.
"Officers attended with the ambulance service and HM Coastguard and located a man with injuries. It is reported that he had fallen from the cliffs.
"The nearby area of the beach was closed to allow emergency services to deal with the incident and treat the injured man.
"The man was taken to hospital by the air ambulance at around 11.20am."
