HEALTH chiefs have urged people over 50 who have not been contacted for their coronavirus vaccine to book themselves in for an appointment.
The Jurassic Coast Primary Care Network (PCN) has now attempted to contact all patients in the area above the age of 50 to receive their first dose of the vaccine. However, there are still some people they have been unable to reach despite numerous phone calls, texts, letters and social media posts.
The team is now asking anyone above the age of 50 who has not yet been contacted to call the booking team on 01308 808714.
Eilish Davoren, practice manager at Bridport Medical Centre, said: "Jurassic Coast PCN would like to thank all our patients for their patience and understanding whilst they await their Covid vaccine invitations.
If anyone is yet to receive an invite from us, and is over 50 years old, please call the booking team on 01308 808714, where our lines are open from 8:30 to 4:30 Monday to Friday apart from on clinic days.
"We would ask our patients who are under 50 years old not to contact us; we will contact you in due course."
For second doses of the vaccine, the team will be in touch 11 weeks after patients have received their first dose. If it has been 11 weeks and you have not been contacted, please call the booking team.
The team at the medical centre posts regular updates on its website and social media pages so urges patients to keep an eye on them for further updates, as to not overwhelm its phone lines.
