Under represented writers can now apply for a bursary, from today, to enter the Bridport Prize.
The Chapman-Andrews bursaries are for people living in Dorset and Devon who wish to enter the writing competition's short story and novel categories. This bursary application opens Tuesday, March 16 and runs until Friday, March 19.
The bursaries have been donated by other writers who are entering the competition who want to support fellow writers with their work.
All applications are considered in the strictest confidence and the competition organisers do not require any proof of income, stating that 'your word is good enough'.
For further information or to download the bursary form, visit www.bridportprize.org.uk - once the form has been completed, send it to kate@bridportprize.org.uk
