A PRIVATE stables and riding arena has been agreed for a Portesham property.
The development will take place at White Gates in Grove Lane to include replacement stables and store, a concrete yard area and the creation of a riding arena.
A Dorset Council report said that that the bungalow and horse riding area will be screened by trees and a hedgerow with the new stable block occupying an area of derelict stables.
Other planning approvals in the area include – 31 Malthouse Meadow, Portesham, build conservatory to the rear; 2 Church Lane, Portesham, widen vehicle access and install gates; 14 Front Street, Portesham, single story extension.
St Peter’s Church has also been given approval to fell a holly tree which is growing too close to a listed tomb.
