THE team behind a community play area have thanked residents who helped to install a hedgerow.
The Lower Walditch Play Area and Community Orchard now boasts a new native hedgerow, courtesy of the Bridport Tree Planting group.
The team put out a call to action in mid February, asking residents to help them clearing the area of brambles and other waste from the area.
They received a great response, and the group of volunteers cleared the area ready for the hedgerow.
A spokesman for the play area said: "A huge thank you to everyone in our community who has helped and offered help over the past couple of weeks to install a native hedgerow at the play area provided by Bridport Tree Planting Group.
"A massive thanks to Jon for the hedgelaying expertise and Rob and your mini rangers for your direction and knowledge and to our very own committee member Charlie for all the prep, digging and the fantastic fence that you whipped up before lunch."
