FEWER than 60 coronavirus cases were confirmed in Dorset over the last 24 hours, latest figures have revealed.
Data released by the government shows 57 cases were recorded across the county in the 24 hours leading up to 4pm on Monday.
The Dorset Council area recorded 21 new cases, taking the total to 11,243 since the start of the pandemic.
In the seven days leading up to February 24, the latest rolling seven-day period, 277 new cases were confirmed in the Dorset Council area - which means the rolling infection rate stood at 73.2 per 100,000 people.
Meanwhile the Bournemouth Christchurch Poole Council area recorded 36 new cases, taking the total since the start of the pandemic to 24,648.
In the seven days leading up to February 24, the latest rolling seven-day period, 352 cases were recorded in BCP, giving a rolling infection rate of 89 per 100,000 people.
