A SENIOR member of the Lyme Regis RNLI lifeboat has joined the crew's management team.
Mark Colley, 57, had previously been at the helm of the lifeboat before retiring from the role two years ago at the age of 55 and has now been given a new position as a Deputy Launching Authority.
Mark, a carpenter by trade, occupied his previous position for 14 years, and has been a member of the volunteer sea-going crew for a total of 21 years.
Mark said: “The role of DLA is an important one in the management structure at the lifeboat station and I feel I can put my sea-going and search and rescue experience, in particular, to good use with other members of the crew.”
