FIREFIGHTERS were called to a chimney fire this morning.
Fire engines from Bridport and Beaminster fire stations were called to a chimney fire in a house in Nettlecombe, near Powerstock, at 8.47am this morning.
Crews used water, a chimney fire kit, a thermal imaging camera and small tools to extinguish the blaze which was confined within the chimney.
A spokesman for Bridport Fire Station said: "The chimney had not long been swept, however, it's an important reminder to ensure your chimneys are regularly maintained."
The crews were stood down at 9.56am.
