The number of Covid 'hotspots' across the BCP area has fallen from 22 to just five.
Data for the seven days to January 24, shows there were five locations across the conurbation with MSOA rates above 800 per 100,000 people.
Charminster and Boscombe West both recorded infection rates above 1,000.
Areas with rates above 800 were Townsend & Strouden, Oakdale East and Newtown.
In the seven days to January 17, there were 22 areas across the conurbation with MSOA rates above 800.
The country is split up by Middle Super Output Area (MSOA), which are small areas with an average population of 7,200, and the data is updated every weekday, with the map showing the last seven days for which complete data is available.
The map colour-codes areas depending on their seven-day rolling rate, with areas placed into the boundaries of 0-10, 11-50, 51-100, 101-200, 201-400, 400 to 799 and 800 plus.
Places with a high MSOA rate appear on the map appear in dark purple.
In the seven days to January 24, 2,264 people tested positive for Covid across the BCP Council area, giving a rolling rate of 572.7.
This is a decrease of 752 cases on the previous seven days when there was a rate of 762.9.
The wider Dorset area recorded 932 cases up to January 24 with a rate of 246.2, which is down from 1,172 cases and a rate of 309.6 previously.
Covid 'hotspots' which have case rates over 800:
- Charminster - 83 cases, rate 1,036.6
- Boscombe West - 108 cases, 1,014.4
- Townsend & Strouden - 58 cases, rate 884.0
- Oakdale East - 76 cases, rate 838.0
- Newtown - 89 cases, rate 815.9
The places with the lowest case rates across Dorset:
- Lyme Regis, Charmouth & Marshwood Vale - fewer than 3 cases (suppressed)
- Burton Bradstock & Chideock - three cases, rate 39.8
- Bridport South & West Bay - three cases, rate 54.0
- Preston & Lodmoor - six cases, rate 68.3
- Beaminster, Maiden Newton & Halstock - seven cases, rate 72.3
