A PROJECT to feed those in need across the county is being launched in Bridport today (Thursday, January 27).
Purbeck Pizza Box will run is first event today, cooking fresh pizza with the aim of feeding the homeless and vulnerable people in the area.
The event will be the first of many in the organisation's calendar and will take place in the car park of St Swithun's Church in North Allington from 11am to 1.30pm and is open to 'anyone who needs a tasty meal.
The initiative is fronted by Tim Kidney, who works full time in IT but describes pizza as his 'passion'. He is raising £2,500 through a JustGiving page so that he may continue with the project throughout the winter.
The idea for the initiative came about when Tim's ten-year-old Frankie went Christmas shopping and was more concerned with the wellbeing of a homeless man outside the shops.
