FEWER than 300 coronavirus cases were confirmed across Dorset in the last 24 hours, latest figures show.
Data released by the government shows 295 cases were recorded in the county in the 24 hours leading up to 4pm on Monday.
In the Dorset Council area, 89 cases were recorded, taking the total to 9,022 for this part of the county.
In the BCP Council area, 206 cases were recorded, taking the conurbation’s total since the start of the pandemic to 20,856.
In the seven days leading up to January 20, the Dorset Council area had a rolling rate of 301.2 per 100,000, with 1,140 cases confirmed in the latest rolling seven-day period.
The latest rolling seven-day period saw 2,578 cases recorded in BCP, giving a rolling infection rate of 652.1 per 100,000 people.
Yesterday, 507 cases were confirmed across Dorset.
