Just think what other projects west Dorset could do with £100m; blanket the place with electric charging points, Boris bikes, stations everywhere, the list is endless.
This vanity project, born from nostalgia and sentiment would prove to be an endless drain on resources, requiring large amounts of council tax subsidies.
The carbon footprint to construct such a development would surely outweigh any future gain. Also consider the safety implications - we know that this sort of transport is highly susceptible to pedestrian casualties.
No, let’s put this vanity project back in the toy box where it belongs.
