SNOW fans could be in luck as conditions “look favourable” for snowfall in Dorset this weekend.
“Most areas” across Dorset are in with a chance of seeing some sleet and wet snow which could lead to the first accumulations of winter, forecaster DorsetSnow has said.
Temperatures are set to take a tumble over the next few days with Sunday morning looking like the best chance of seeing the white stuff.
Dew points looking really favourable now for some falling snow this weekend. First risk is on Friday night and then a more widespread risk on Sunday morning, which could deliver some small accumulations. https://t.co/GYgASI8wB2 pic.twitter.com/gyp4iJOVgX

Bournemouth-based forecaster DorsetSnow said Sunday morning could see “a few hours” of snowfall for the county thanks to a weak area of low pressure.
However, he said there’s also a risk of some wintry showers being seen before this on Friday evening.
Speaking to the Echo, DorsetSnow said: “A few showers popping in from the west and clashing with cold air could deliver some rain, sleet and wet snow.
“The main area of interest, however, is for Sunday morning. A weak area of low pressure again coming in from the west could deliver a few hours of snowfall for Dorset.
“Dew points and temperatures look favourable for snowfall in my opinion, although many apps are currently showing rain. “
DorsetSnow added: “I’m confident that most areas will see sleet and wet snow, which could lead to the first accumulations of the season. Nothing major, but perhaps 1-2cm in places. As always, areas inland have the best chance of seeing accumulations.”
The Met Office forecast says temperatures will 'feel like' just 1C during the daytime on Saturday and Sunday.
By the early hours of Monday morning it will feel like minus 4C.
