A COVID vaccination clinic originally set to go ahead this week has been cancelled.
The vaccination clinic at Bridport Medical Centre on January 20 was originally scheduled to give patients their second vaccinations. The clinic has been cancelled and will instead be for those having their first coronavirus vaccine.
A spokesman for Bridport Medical Centre said: “Due to changes in government guidelines, vaccinations booked for Wednesday, January 20 are not going ahead. Bookings are being cancelled.
“We are contacting patients, but please do share and spread the word.
"Patients will receive their second vaccination 10-12 weeks following their first vaccination and will be contacted to inform them of their next appointment date, when we have confirmation of vaccine delivery.
"The clinic on January 20 will now be for first vaccinations and we are working hard to contact those eligible. Please do not call your surgery to book - appointments are being booked centrally."
