A LORRY has been involved in a crash with an electrical cable.
Fire engines from Charmouth, Bridport, Chard and Axminster were called to reports of a live high voltage electrical cable entanglement with a lorry in Axminster at 4.02pm yesterday afternoon.
The road was closed as a safety precaution.
A spokesman for Axminster Fire Station said: "Western Power Distribution attended and police assisted with a road closure for safety.
"The driver of the lorry remained inside the vehicle for his safety until the power was isolated."
