PEOPLE are being warned to stay away from the cliffs near West Bay.
As reported, a 90 metre long crack opened up at a cliff-top near West Bay on Wednesday last week - and Dorset Council has now alerted residents after a further cliff movement yesterday afternoon.
Residents are being "strongly urged" to stay away from the area amid further significant land movement at the cliff at Highlands Park.
A 200 metre section of the South West Coast Path has been closed due to the growing crack - a large area of which has been monitored over the last three weeks amid fears of collapse.
Access to this section of cliff and coast path has now been closed to the public.
A Dorset Council spokesman said: "We've just had word that there has been further significant land movement at Highlands Park cliff near West Bay today.
"We strongly urge everyone to avoid walking near this section until the area can be assessed."
It comes amid heavy rain and warnings of floods and tidal surges across west Dorset.
